Wow, who thought VMworld 2017 Barcelona (this year following right after the show in Las Vegas) would just be a copy of the U.S. event is completely wrong. There have been big announcements that will have a major impact on how private and public clouds will merge.

vSAN 6.6 adds a major new capability that will deliver a highly-available stretched cluster that addresses the highest resiliency requirements of data centers. The new release will be allowing for storage redundancy within a site AND across sites at the same time. Continue Reading
EHC 4.1.1 is now available on VxRail Appliances, is optimized for smaller deployments and provides an upgrade path for existing EHC customers to vRealize Automation 7.1, which brings simplified infrastructure and application provisioning, with granular, end-to-end financial tracking. During VMworld I had the pleasure to get my hands on the “SAP on VMware SDDC” lab. Always great to get some practical experience! Meanwhile the lab is publicly available and you definitely should get your hands on it as well! Interactive simulations demonstrate best practices for design and management of SAP on VMware SDDC infrastructure with Virtual Volumes, NSX, vRealize Operations, and the VMware Adapter for SAP Landscape Management.
