Wow, who thought VMworld 2017 Barcelona (this year following right after the show in Las Vegas) would just be a copy of the U.S. event is completely wrong. There have been big announcements that will have a major impact on how private and public clouds will merge.

Intel has launched its newest processor generation “Skylake” and SAP HANA will be running on it right away. The Memory/Socket ratio compared to the Broadwell platform is rising from 512 GB/socket to 768 GB/socket for BW and from 1.0 TB/socket to 1.5 TB/socket for S/4HANA and Suite on HANA. Continue Reading
